In this episode we show you how we actually physically operate Tally Ho’s Gaff Rig - from tensioning the Bobstay to hoisting the gaff topsail. We explain the jib traveller, the difference between stays and shrouds, and the multi-part purchase systems that allow each crew member to multiply their lifting strength by 12 times!

At the start of this video we also document the complex customs / immigration procedure that we have to go through when visiting a Central American country by boat, which involves renting a motorbike to get to the relevant offices.

Finally, after setting off on a long passage, we discover a serious issue with our Hybrid Motor, and are forced to anchor Tally Ho under sail.
